Medicare Coverage Options
Helping You Understand and Choose the Medicare Coverage That’s Right for You.
Medicare can be confusing, but it doesn’t have to be. We help you understand the difference between Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and prescription drug coverage and guide you through your available options with confidence and clarity.
What is it
Original Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people age 65 and older, and for certain younger individuals with qualifying disabilities.
There are multiple ways to receive Medicare coverage:
Original Medicare
Provided by the federal government, includes Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance).
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
Offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. These plans provide all the coverage of Original Medicare (Parts A & B) and may include additional coverage. Plan availability, rules, and costs depend on the carrier and service area.
Medicare Part D
Standalone prescription drug plans that work alongside Original Medicare.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap)
Optional plans that help cover some of the out-of-pocket costs not paid by Original Medicare, like deductibles and co-pays.
Understanding how these options work, and when you can enroll, is key to getting the coverage that fits your health and lifestyle needs.
Why it matters
Choosing the right Medicare coverage can impact your health access, your out-of-pocket costs, and your peace of mind. The right plan can help:
● Cover essential hospital and medical care
● Include predictable costs for doctor visits or prescriptions
● Provide access to networks of providers that fi t your needs
● May include additional coverage, depending on the plan
● Help avoid late-enrollment penalties and coverage gaps
